Students met with the owners of Dixon’s Ace Hardware to learn more about the family run business. While Ace Hardware is celebrating 100 years in business, the Kelly family has been a part of it for almost 50 years. With over 38,000 skus and multiple streams of revenue, they stay busy year round. However their peak season is right now in the spring, and they will also peak in the winter when the weather gets bad and people need items for snow and ice removal.
We ended with breakfast and the students discussing their class business, as Ace Hardware provided us with a discounted Blackstone that students auctioned off at their Leap Around the Decades event. Each student also spoke about their individual business and future plans.
