After a long weekend, the East class had a fun start to the week at the Dixon Park District. After learning about the business side of the organization from executive director Duane Long, the students got to hear about the recreation side of the business from recreation director Seth Nicklaus. Both Seth and Duane said that the youth are at the center of their philosophy, and that they lead with the heart and what the youth in this area want.
In true DPD fashion, we left plenty of time for fun. Basketball, volleyball, and pickleball are currently in motion.
