West CEO student Hiram Zigler and his family hosted class on Tuesday at Zigler Machine and Metal Works. Kathy and John told their story of sacrifices in the early days of long hours and working multiple roles while building their business. They went on to share keys to success: understanding good debt and bad debt, having procedures and policies in place for everything, knowing how banking works-cash flow, daily P & L's, the value of meeting deadlines--no excuses, protecting yourself and trade secrets, and much more. The facility tour included sophisticated machines and robotics with a clear layout for efficiency. Meeting their oldest son, Zeb, who also works in the business, was a perfect ending to the tour and an opportunity for a family pic.
