We finished out the week visiting entrepreneur and business owner Amy Nicklaus, who owns and operates Rustic Roots. Amy discussed how her business model focus has shifted over the years due to customer demands. She first began making signs out of her garage, and it became so big that she required a storefront and close to 10 employees. Over the years, the signs hit their decline phase and she is now spending her weeks inside people’s homes, refinishing their kitchen cabinets. She has a few employees running the retail side of her shop, and has plans to rebrand very soon!

Her biggest advice? Just start! Don’t wait, because you’ll always find a reason to. Thank you Amy for the Dunkin’ Donuts, and digging in the archives of your store to let the students paint. 🎨
