Halo Branded Solution was just under $1 billion in 2024 sales, making Tuesday’s business visit a real eye-opener into a global company. East and West CEO students learned many details from Terry McGuire, Maggie Cox, Lori Wolber, and Cathie Hernandez. The business model is not simple. Halo provides uniforms/products to Fortune 500 companies, has an awards/recognition department, and sells promotional products to customers which are sourced globally. In addition, Halo acquires smaller promotional companies which means they can now operate more efficiently with a better profit. Lastly, Halo itself is an acquired company by private equity firms who keep ownership for around 7 years and then sell at a profit. In simple terms, much like flipping a house; increase its value and make a profit.
Students enjoyed a tour of the fulfillment center and office area designated for finance, sales, human resources, and customer service. The visit included questions about tariffs and careers, and a very important department: safety, social compliance, and sustainability. Our final picture; in the newly designed “store” featuring many Halo products.
