Suzanne Ravlin was the first speaker for the East CEO leadership series, and did not disappoint. She has been involved in the program as an advocate, investor, and speaker since the inception 13 years ago. Suzanne discussed her journey in college, which included 6 changes in her major, and how she ended up in law school and has had a successful career working in higher education, manufacturing, and most recently healthcare. She is now the owner of White Coat Negotiations and CEO of Serenity Hospice. When taking on those roles, she talked to the class about non negotiables and had each student write down the 3 most important things they plan on looking at as non negotiables in their careers. She also asked them what their greatest strength was and discussed how that can also be your greatest weakness.
