On Wednesday, Robert Urbanski, Vice President of Human Resources, visited the CEO students to discuss the origins of Frantz Manufacturing Company. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a sustainable business. Some ways to do this is by continually innovating and redesigning products as times change. Robert also highlighted the value of being resourceful. He shared how Frantz used surplus wood to launch a new business, Hustlers Toys and through World War II, Frantz shifted focus to vital steel defense products and supplying hardware for military cot’s, which earned government awards. He encouraged students to stay attentive and take thorough notes throughout the presentation, as he concluded with a “Family Feud” style game. The day not only highlighted Frantz’s impressive adaptability over the years, but also gave our class a new appreciation for how creativity and resilience can shape a company’s future. Also in attendance was Anita Carney, Director of HR and Sue Linder, HR Generalist.
