CEO students had quite a line-up of city officials on Monday morning: Diana Merdian-Mayor, Scott Shumard-City Manager, Amanda Schmidt-Building & Zoning Superintendent, Cindy Von Holten-Finance Director, Terri Sathoff-City Clerk, Superintendent of Public Works – Brad Schrader, Pat Bartel-Police Chief, Dave Northcutt-Fire Chief, Millie-Comfort Dog, Mary Toth-Community Service Officer. A lot of information was shared regarding requirements when starting a business with the best advice to stop by the city first. Students learned about the various roles in city government, as well as citizens' roles. The visit concluded with Q & A and a fair amount of time enjoying Millie Sterling PD Comfort Dog. A city is just a place, but a community is a sense of belonging and experiences.
