Matthew Megli

About Me

Matthew Megli is a senior at Rock Falls High School and the second oldest of five siblings. About a year and a half ago, he started his own business: Megli Aerial Photography. As an FAA-certified commercial drone pilot, he uses his drone to take pictures and produce videos for real estate agents, farmers, and marketing firms. Although he loves aerial photography, his true passion is agriculture. He comes from a farming family south of Rock Falls. His family has a sod farm: Sauk Valley Turf, and they also grow seed corn, corn, and soybeans. After high school, he wants to go to Black Hawk College for a few years to gain more knowledge of the agriculture  business and broaden his experience. Matthew chose to take CEO because he wanted to improve his communication and leadership skills and make connections to local business owners. In his free time, Matt likes to work on the family farm, kayak, bike on trails, and spend time with his family.
