CEO students recently gathered at West End Moxie where they learned more about the work of the YWCA of the Sauk Valley; promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The visit was arranged by Cilvia Rivera, Director of Community Services and Outreach. Additional presenters included: Jazmin Moore-Immigrant Outreach Caseworker, Jill Sanders McFalls- Director of Crisis Services, Camryn Johnson -Legal Advocate and also a previous CEO student and Melissa Vlakancic- Sexual Assault Latina Caseworker. The organization works on diligently on such things as eliminating violence, affordable housing, pay equity and much more. Following the presentation, students given promotional items and $5 Moxie Money. Many shopped and purchased items. By the way, the YWCA of the Sauk Valley recently celebrated 100 years!
