Brinkley Sterling came bounding into CEO class on Thursday and was immediately welcomed with cheers. Along with her handler Tekla Martin, Community Service Officer, and Chief of Police Alex Chavira it was a surprise the class was hoping for. Through specific stories Tekla explained the numerous times Brinkley comforted both young and old, a skill most say "she was born to do." Chief Chavira talked about the stressful situations officers witness and having Brinkley helps reduce the staff's stress too. With both Tekla and Brinkley retiring, CEO students are hoping to meet the new handler and puppy before the end of the school year. Well wishes Brinkley and Tekla and thank you for your service to our communities.
