This week the most impactful thing for me was listening to the representatives. I met Tom Demmer this past summer at the BLIND retreat. Demmer was one of the original member who started blind in the early 2000's. It was exciting getting to talk with him again because this past summer I had some questions I wanted to ask him but was to nervous to ask. One of the three biggest points any student should take out of CEO is to ask questions and don't be afraid of it. As I said before I was in the class I was too scared to go talk to him but when we had free time after they spoke I wasn't afraid to go and talk to him, which I'm thankful for. When the representatives were speaking, both Demmer and McCombie said they've trained themselves to ask good questions in committees and just life in general. This made it even more real that you really do have to train yourself to ask the important questions in all aspects of life.

I have always been told hard work pays off and Friday all of our class's hard work came full circle. It is truly amazing how after months of planning we were able to completely drop an idea and create this amazing event in less than two months. When I think about Friday and the amazing event we pulled off I get an immense feeling of pride and I hope the rest of the class does also because we deserve it. After I gave our final thanks I could not stop myself from smiling. I was so proud of what we did as a class. After all of the stressing and planning this week brought, I knew it was all worth it. However, like all events there are a few things I wish would have gone better. One thing that we should have came up with a way keep track of desserts and the money before the event, but our system did eventually work well and I would like to thank Noah for jumping in where he saw a need and taking over that job. I also wish we would have gone over the power point in class the day of and practiced the system before the dinner began so it could have run smoother, but I thank all who collected and graded the score sheets in such a timely manner. I want to give a shout out to all of our servers for the night as well. It is often a very hectic job, but they all held composer and completed their jobs successfully. I also think Chris deserves a virtual road of applause for his hour and a half of beautiful music to entertain our guests. As our guest walked in over and over again I heard them say how beautifully the room was decorated and that is all thanks to our wonderful decorating committee. I especially want to thank Faith for all the hard work she put in especially while we were at Deer Valley. I am very excited for class tomorrow and to hear all about what everyone else has to say about the evening. Also want to thank Le for all her guidance in class and Norm for supporting us in this financial endeavor.

When we began the commercial video for Moore Tires I had some worries and concerns. I knew we were all going to try our hardest, but after the Digital Media Arts class couldn't make it to the first two days or filming I was concerned about whether or not we even needed them. I knew the footage itself looked good and we knew all we needed to do to make it look good, but I also knew the DMA class could do it better. Then the concern of payment came up and I wasn't really for sure whether they deserved the full payment, but after seeing all the hard work the class has put into I think they definitely deserve the full amount if not more. The editing of the video is far beyond what I thought it would be. The effects they added make the video so much more fun to watch, and I'm sure it will get the full one thousand views. As Le said when we first began running into problems, it’s better to keep bridges then to burn them. I am so glad we kept a positive relationship with the Digital Media Arts class because they have done an amazing job with the video and I hope we can return the favor if they ever need any help!
